i didn’t want to make a big deal out of turning 22, mainly for the reason that there seems to be no birthday milestones after the big 21 - everything goes downhill from there.
but now that i think about it, this 22nd year brings about many important changes. like graduating from college and joining the ranks of the employed. like applying to medical school and solidifying plans for the next four years of life. i’m now another year older…and hopefully another year wiser.
so here’s looking forward to the first year of life after college, and everything that comes along with it.
i fear that too often, i become so wrapped up in everyday trivialities that life passes by without me taking notice. i hope this blog will encourage me to document the experiences of this new year, and provide an outlet through which i can reflect.

as much as i wanted to forget that it was my birthday, they tried even harder to remind me that it was. <3
